Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer III to support the DGOC as part of the GSMO-II program at Scott AFB, IL. This role will involve real-time circuit design, network performance monitoring, and collaboration with DoD customers to ensure mission-critical connectivity.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification, and an active DoD Top Secret clearance; ability to work 24x7 shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 4+ years of relevant experience.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline security certification required before start.
• Willingness to work a 24x7 shift schedule in a DGOC environment.
• Strong understanding of Transport and IP network topologies.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of circuits across routers and switches.
• Design real-time circuit changes to restore connectivity during outages or maintenance.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers and agencies to maximize network availability.
• Monitor alarms using platform network management tools and document outages and resolutions.
• Perform change management tasks including hardware replacements and software configurations.
• Document incidents and resolutions in incident management applications.
• Assess and resolve network incidents leveraging knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, MSPP, and MPLS.
