Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks a Network Engineer at the Teaching & Learning Center to design, install, and maintain district-network infrastructure. Reports to Manager III - Core Engineering; salary range $80,476-$96,960.

The role will manage DNS, IP routing, VPNs, firewalls, wireless networks, and VoIP; lead projects; ensure security, reliability, and high availability for the district's technology services.

Qualifications

• Accredited high school diploma or GED; TxCHSE acceptable; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: 3-7 years in large networked environments.
• Knowledge of DNS, IP routing, VPNs, VLANs, and security.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and document work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain DNS, IP routing, VPN, HTTP, and security configurations.
• Configure firewalls, VPN concentrators, and security appliances.
• Design and implement complex switching and wireless networks.
• Provide technical guidance and project leadership.
• Document issues and respond to staff with support.
