Job summary

Comal ISD is seeking a network administrator to administer and operate the district's wired and wireless networks, firewall, and other network-based appliances. You will oversee installation, testing, and ongoing security and services across the district.

Responsibilities include planning, designing, installing, testing, maintaining and documenting network equipment; monitoring security and incident response; ensuring reliable connectivity for classrooms and staff; and staying current with

Qualifications

• Identify and resolve network hardware and software issues including maintenance and software upgrades.
• Plan, design, install, test, maintain and document network equipment and implementations.
• Maintain network security with firewall(s) and software security to validate Internet usage of the district network and monitor unauthorized access attempts and violations.
• Develop and maintain the district's data network in accordance with industry standards, consulting with others when needed.
• Use network monitoring and assessment software to identify, analyze, and address network congestion, security threats and other abnormalities.
