Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Network Engineer to analyze, design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot the district's network infrastructure and related components. The role reports to Core Engineering and supports DNS, VPN, firewalls, and VOIP implementations to ensure reliable services for schools and staff.

The candidate should have 3–7 years of experience, CCNA/CCNP preferred, and a high school diploma or GED with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Education required: Accredited High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CCNA certification preferred; CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, installs, configures, maintains, and repairs network infrastructure and components.
• Provides direction and recommendations on network configurations and installations.
• Maintains understanding of Internet fundamentals (DNS, HTTP, VPN, email routing).
• Configures and installs client/server network software and security appliances.
• Troubleshoots network hardware/software issues and documents tickets.
