Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. This position offers remote work flexibility, though preference will be given to candidates local to the San Francisco area for occasional on-site collaboration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Perform network configuration and management, including VLANs, VPNs, and QoS.
  • Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures and protocols.
  • Conduct network assessments and recommend improvements to enhance network security and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices to proactively address emerging challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in network design and implementation, including experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with team members and clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
