Job summary

SISL Global ** Cincinnati, OH ** is seeking a network-focused professional to support data center operations and customer environments. You will troubleshoot switches, routers, WAPs, and VoIP devices, assign VLANs, patch ports, and coordinate with remote teams to resolve incidents.

The role requires knowledge of monitoring tools, ITSM familiarity (ServiceNow), and a background in enterprise data centers. On-call availability and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of network devices (Switches/Routers/WAPs; CISCO cert preferred).
• Understanding of assigning switch ports to VLANs.
• Experience patching phone ports to switches.
• Troubleshooting Avaya VOIP phones (basic configuration).
• Troubleshoot fiber links between switches and coordinate with remote teams.
• Troubleshoot and replace switch chassis blades when required.
• Familiar with Data Center Infrastructure Management tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
• Networking and OS basics.
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Windows 2003 AD/Exchange basics and File/Print Server basics.
• IMACD work in data centers.
• Experience in large/medium enterprise data centers.
• Fluent English communication; on-call readiness.
• 3–5 years of experience in the listed areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist network and data center admins during technical troubleshooting.
• Perform IMACD (Install/Move/Add/Change/Dispose) in the data center and network equipment.
• Coordinate with internal, customer, and vendor teams during incidents.
• Support on-call rotations and after-hours issues as needed.

Job description

• Knowledge of Network Devices such as Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Points preferably CISCO certified.
• Knowledge / understanding of assigning switch ports to specific VLANs
• Patch phone ports to switch as needed
• Troubleshooting of Avaya VOIP phones (knowledge on basic configuration)
• Troubleshoot issues with fiber links between switches – Able to visualize errors and communicate to remote technical teams
• Troubleshoot and replace network switch chassis blades when required
• Good to understand any Data Center Infrastructure Management Application
• Knowledge of Monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, etc…
• Networking and Operating System basics
• Assist network and data center admins (Internal, Customer and Vendor) as required during the course of technical troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge about Hardware like Servers, Storage devices
• Knowledge to understand Monitoring Tool outcome
• Basic knowledge of ITSM tool preferably ServiceNow

• Should be able to perform IMACD Installation, Move, Add, Change, and Disposal Services of the data center, network equipment’s
• Candidate should have hands on experience in large/medium enterprise data centers or hosting sites consisting of Servers, Storage and Network devices
• Candidate should have all local language proficiency and communication ability in English is mandatory
• Candidate should be flexible to work round the clock on-call basis as an when required apart from scheduled shift
• Candidate should have minimum 3–5-year experience in above mentioned area
