Scion Technology has been engaged to lead a search for an Experienced Network Engineer on behalf of our client, an innovative and rapidly growing organization. This is a fully remote, 2-week contract opportunity focused on optimizing and securing core network infrastructure. This role is for immediate engagement!

What You Will Do:

• Conduct a focused network assessment and identify areas for optimization and risk mitigation
• Configure and fine-tune routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and SD-WAN policies to enhance performance and security
• Troubleshoot critical network issues and implement effective solutions within project scope
• Create clear documentation and standard operating procedures to support long-term network stability
• Lead a comprehensive remote handoff session to ensure internal teams are equipped to maintain improvements

What You Bring to the Table:

• 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience across diverse environments
• Expertise in Cisco IOS, with additional proficiency in technologies from Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet
• Strong knowledge of OSPF, BGP, VLANs, wireless networking, and SD-WAN optimization
• Practical experience with network security, firewall configurations, and infrastructure hardening
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and automation tools like Python or Ansible
• Relevant certifications (CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent) are a plus
• Proven ability to quickly assess, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network challenges
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting
