Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a Network Computer Support Technician for McChord Air Force Base in the Tacoma, Washington area. The role requires an active Secret clearance and hands-on maintenance of ADCS networks and systems.

Responsibilities include Tier 1 maintenance, incident reporting, and configuration changes, with strong focus on security, VMware ESXi, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments. Onsite work at McChord AFB is required.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Secret Level security clearance.
• Must hold CompTIA IAT 8570 Level II or 8140 equivalent.
• AA/AS degree and 1-3 years’ experience or equivalent experience.
• Onsite to McChord AFB in Tacoma, Washington.

Responsibilities

• Tier 1 maintenance of on-site ADCS systems and subsystems.
• Terminate ADCS circuits activated at POP.
• Report failures to government contract representative by start of next duty day.
• Coordinate downtime requirements with CAOC/ADS CFP.
• Monitor on-site and remote locations.
• Perform additions, changes, relocations of ADCS equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and interconnectivity.
