Job summary

East Irondequoit Central School District in New York is seeking a Network AV Support Technician in the Information Technology Department. This 12-month position provides primary day-to-day technical support for district staff and students.

You will diagnose hardware, OS, software, and account-access issues; set up new staff with device configurations and MFA; manage damaged equipment repairs; support theater productions and live events with AV systems; and coordinate with Facilities and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing hardware, OS, software, and account-access issues.
• Setup for new staff including device configuration and MFA.
• Process damaged equipment for repair and coordinate warranty or vendor service.
• Manage and resolve help desk tickets with clear communication to users.
• Support live events with AV systems including cameras, lighting, and projection.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary day-to-day technical support for district staff and students using Windows computers, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, copiers, and related peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, software, account-access, connectivity, printing, and peripheral issues.
• Set up technology for new staff, including device configuration, account access, multi-factor authentication, and required applications.
• Process damaged equipment for repair, coordinate warranty or vendor service, and return repaired devices to service.
• Receive, document, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve help desk tickets; communicate status and resolution clearly to users.
• Provide setup, operation (cameras, microphones, lighting, capture devices), troubleshooting, and breakdown support for theater productions and other live events, including sound, projection, presentation, and video systems (some evening & weekend assignments).
• Coordinate with staff, Facilities, and outside vendors when specialized audiovisual services or repairs are required.
