NetSuite Administrator / IT Systems Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Industry: Manufacturing
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with an established, growing US-based manufacturing organisation looking to bring in an experienced NetSuite Administrator / IT Systems Manager to take ownership of its ERP environment.
The business is entering an exciting period of growth and investment in its internal systems, with a focus on improving operational efficiency, automating processes and building a more scalable technology infrastructure.
Currently supported by external consultants, the company is looking to bring NetSuite expertise in-house, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to take full ownership of the platform and become the go-to technical resource across the organisation.
This is a hands-on position offering significant autonomy, direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on how the business operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the NetSuite ERP environment, managing day-to-day administration, configuration, customisation and ongoing improvements.
- Develop and maintain custom workflows, scripts and automations using SuiteFlow and SuiteScript 2.x.
- Support NetSuite's manufacturing functionality, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, inventory management and costing.
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and reduce manual workloads across Finance, Operations and Manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, integrations and data-related challenges.
- Manage and optimise integrations between NetSuite and other business-critical applications.
- Improve reporting capabilities, saved searches, dashboards and overall data visibility.
- Support warehouse and shop-floor operations, including inventory transactions, barcode scanning and related processes.
- Maintain system security, user permissions, data integrity and internal compliance controls.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external NetSuite partners and consultants when specialist support is required.
- Provide user training, documentation and ongoing support to improve system adoption.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong technical understanding of NetSuite, including SuiteFlow, SuiteScript 2.x, saved searches, custom records and reporting.
- Experience supporting manufacturing processes, including BOMs, inventory, work orders and costing.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and manage system enhancements from start to finish.
- Experience working with third-party integrations and external ERP consultants.
- Strong understanding of ERP architecture, data management and business process improvement.
- Comfortable working directly with Finance, Operations and senior leadership.
- A proactive, solutions-focused individual who enjoys taking ownership of systems and driving improvements.
- NetSuite WMS or warehouse management systems.
- Barcode scanning and shop-floor technology.
- Experience with SOX compliance or ERP internal controls.
- Previous experience bringing NetSuite administration in-house from an outsourced support model.
- NetSuite certifications.
What's on Offer?
- Fantastic base salary, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
- 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.
- Employer-paid medical insurance.
- Life insurance and long-term disability coverage.
- Dental insurance contribution.
- 2 weeks paid vacation plus 9 company holidays.
- Stable, established manufacturing business with ambitious growth plans.
- Opportunity to become the primary technical owner of NetSuite.
- Significant autonomy to drive improvements, automation and system development.
- Direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence the company's long-term ERP strategy.
- Collaborative environment with flexibility around personal commitments.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This isn't a position where you'll simply maintain an existing NetSuite environment.
You'll be joining a business that is actively investing in its systems and looking for someone who can take ownership, challenge existing processes and introduce meaningful improvements.
For someone who enjoys combining hands-on NetSuite development, manufacturing operations and strategic ERP ownership, this is an opportunity to build something long-term rather than simply support what is already there.
