Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong accounting principles and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience as Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager or equivalent level.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statements.
• Ability to optimize, automate, and improve processes using NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities including GL, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and analyses.
• Own NetSuite functionality: configuration, saved searches, dashboards, reporting, and workflows.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes using NetSuite.
• Review workflows and propose improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into NetSuite solutions.
• Support audits, internal controls, and compliance initiatives.

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing e-commerce and retail organization based in Hollywood, CA, is looking to hire a strong Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager with extensive NetSuite experience.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an accounting professional who understands both accounting operations and the technology supporting them. The successful candidate will be responsible for core accounting activities while also leveraging NetSuite to improve, automate, and optimize financial processes across the organization.

This role would be particularly well suited to someone who enjoys looking beyond the numbers and identifying opportunities to make accounting processes more efficient through better use of NetSuite.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and other financial analysis.
• Take ownership of NetSuite functionality within the accounting environment, ensuring the system supports business and financial requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes using NetSuite.
• Review existing workflows and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
• Configure and optimize NetSuite functionality, including financial workflows, saved searches, dashboards, reporting, and system processes.
• Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and other business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective NetSuite solutions.
• Support the implementation of new processes, controls, and system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot accounting and NetSuite issues and work with internal teams or external partners where appropriate.
• Help improve financial reporting and visibility through enhanced NetSuite reporting and analytics.
• Support audit activities, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives across the accounting function.
• Provide guidance and support to other members of the accounting/finance team as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong accounting background with experience at the Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similar level.
• Significant hands‑on experience working with Oracle NetSuite.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to use NetSuite to optimize, automate, and improve accounting processes.
• Experience with NetSuite reporting, saved searches, workflows, dashboards, and system configuration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both accounting/finance teams and technical or operational stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to take ownership of projects and processes.
