SIDEBOTHAM SUBSTAION SERVICES PLLC is seeking a NETA Field Service Technician – Electrical Testing to conduct comprehensive testing, maintenance, and repair on electrical distribution systems. You will work with a skilled team to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to industry standards across customer sites.

The role requires travel, strong testing skills, and a focus on reliability, with opportunities to advance while maintaining a rigorous safety program and professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor degree in Electrical Power & Controls or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• NETA Certification (I–IV) strongly desired.
• 2+ years hands-on switchgear testing and troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on HV/LV systems.
• Perform transformer, relay, and switchgear testing using industry-standard methods.
• Calibrate relays and perform power metering and diagnostics.
• Conduct Tan Delta, VLF, and Hipot cable tests and ensure safety compliance.
• Respond to emergencies during on-call rotation and document results.
