Job summary

Shermco Industries seeks a NETA Field Service Technician to perform testing, troubleshooting, and data collection on electrical power systems at customer sites across Alabama and nearby states.

The role requires 5+ years in switchgear testing, NETA certification (II/III/IV) or electrician license, and willingness to travel; strong PC skills and safety compliance are essential. U.S. work authorization and a valid driver\'s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in switchgear testing and troubleshooting.
• NETA Certification (II, III or IV) or an electrician license is preferred.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally with overnight stays and a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, startup and data-collection on low to high voltage systems.
• Travel to customer sites across the state and bordering states.
• Test instrument transformers, power transformers, and relays.
• Perform cable testing (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot) and switchgear tests.
• Coordinate on-call duty and respond to emergencies as needed.
