Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking a Senior NETA Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites in the region for high and medium voltage testing, data collection, and troubleshooting. You will perform tests on transformers, relays, and switchgear, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, NETA certification or electrician license, and strong PC skills. Applicants should be able to travel domestically and be available for on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC) or EE degree; military equivalent considered.
• NETA Certification (III/IV) or electrician license preferred.
• 5+ years in switchgear testing & troubleshooting.
• Strong PC skills; PowerDB experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites (industrial & commercial) to inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data for HV systems.
• Perform power transformer, relay, and switchgear testing and calibration.
• Rotate on-call duty and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and test results; document findings.
