Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a part-time Ambulatory Services Nephrology RN to support patient care within the department. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, interprofessional collaboration, and evidence-based practice while maintaining patient safety and quality outcomes.

You will engage in shared governance, apply nursing processes, and provide culturally inclusive care across pediatric patients, with close coordination with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN accredited program requires 2+ years experience.
• If hired without a BSN/MSN, must enroll in BSN/MSN within 1 year and complete within 5 years.
• BSN from ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA preferred.
• Active Ohio RN License; may require other state licensure.
• Foreign graduates must have license validated.

Responsibilities

• Sustain understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; support leadership in compliance.
• Demonstrate integration of Interprofessional Practice Model in practice.
• Follow standards and guidelines; implement clinical changes; pursue learning to improve patient care; use self-appraisal and peer review for development.
• Apply systems thinking; monitor safety and departmental policies; ensure certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled.
• Provide age-specific and culturally inclusive patient care; consider patient age and development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in shared decision making; participate in unit-based councils.
• Perform clinical judgment with data collection, following protocols; document plan of care and outcomes; ensure safety.
