Qualifications

• Associate or diploma RN with 2+ years of experience; if no BSN/MSN, enroll within 1 year and complete within 5 years.
• Preferred BSN from ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited program or MSN.
• Active Ohio RN License; may require additional state licensure.
• Foreign graduates must have license validated per Ohio rules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards; support leadership in safety and policy adherence.
• Assist in safety best practices; monitor certifications and Safety College requirements; communicate concerns to leadership.
• Collect data, document plans of care and patient outcomes; apply age-appropriate care principles and teaching.
• Apply clinical judgment using protocols; advance care goals with patients and families; provide structured education.
• Participate in shared governance and interprofessional team decisions at the point of care.
• Demonstrate IPM integration in day-to-day practice and advocate for patients and families.
• Promote culturally inclusive care and address ethical considerations with patients and families.
