Responsibilities

• Questions appropriateness of policies and guidelines; seeks advice to improve patient care.
• Precepts nursing peers and students; shares knowledge at the point-of-care.
• Uses self-appraisal and peer reviews including annual goals to promote safe, ethical practice.
• Mitigates risks to patient and staff safety; supports safety best practices with managers and committees.
