Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health seeks an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding NICU in Wilmington, Delaware. The unit is Level IV, with 46 beds after expansion plans for 2026.

You will provide bedside and consultative care in a collaborative Neonatal team, with rotating shifts and holiday commitments. We offer a competitive salary, relocation allowance, sign-on bonus, and a broad benefits package including CME, retirement plans, and licensure support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years Neonatal NP experience preferred.
• Current unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License to practice in the state(s) in which privileges are sought.
• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification via National Certification Center.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages and provides care for neonates requiring intensive care under supervision of an attending neonatologist.
• Receives distressed neonates in the Delivery Room and initiates appropriate intervention.
• Performs complete newborn examinations and gestational age assessment.
• Collaborates with neonatologists on admissions and treatments, orders labs and procedures.
• Reviews neonatal care items including temperature stabilization, nutrition, and phototherapy.
• Participates in daily rounds in NICU.
• Rotating shifts required.
