Job summary

The Nemours Neonatology team in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Level IV NICU. This expanding unit will house 46 beds with 14 new inpatient rooms, and positions can be part-time or moonlighting.

Shifts are rotating and will require holiday commitments. You will participate in daily rounds and deliver specialized newborn care, collaborating with neonatologists and pediatric specialists to ensure the best outcomes for

Qualifications

• Neonatal NP/PA experience preferred.
• Delaware APRN/PA license required; neonatal certification as applicable.
• BLS and NRP certifications required or available.
• PA-C or NP licensure with neonatal experience or fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Manage NICU patients with neonatology team under supervision.
• Receive distressed neonate in delivery room and initiate intervention.
• Perform newborn exams and assess gestational age.
• Conduct parent interviews and family history.
• Collaborate with neonatologists on admissions and care plans.
• Order labs and procedures.
• Provide newborn care items including temperature management and phototherapy.
• Participate in daily NICU rounds.
• Rotating shifts are required.
