Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a Level IV NICU expansion. The role involves rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and collaborative care with neonatology, pediatric surgeons, and a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of Neonatal NP experience, an ARNP license, BLS/NRP, and a Master's in Nursing. The site offers comprehensive benefits, sign-on and relocation incentives as part of a strong employment package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years Neonatal NP experience preferred.
• Current unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License to practice in the state(s) in which privileges are sought.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages and provides care for neonatal patients under supervision of an attending neonatologist.
• Receives distressed neonates in the delivery room and initiates appropriate intervention.
• Performs complete newborn examination and gestational age assessment.
• Conducts parent interviews and collects family history.
• Collaborates with neonatologists on admissions and treatments.
• Orders laboratory tests and procedures as needed.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures appropriate for neonatal care.
• Participates in daily NICU rounds and supports temperature, nutrition, and phototherapy management.
