Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE seeks an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join an expanding Level IV NICU. The role involves rotating shifts, newborn assessments, and close collaboration with the neonatology team.

The NICU will expand in 2026, adding 14 new inpatient rooms and 46 beds. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, relocation assistance, and a sign-on bonus to attract qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years Neonatal NP experience preferred.
• Current unrestricted ARNP license to practice in applicable state(s).
• American Heart Association BLS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manages neonatal ICU patients with team collaboration under neonatology supervision.
• Receives distressed neonates and initiates appropriate interventions.
• Performs newborn exam and gestational age assessment.
• Conducts parent interviews and collects family history.
• Collaborates with neonatologists on admissions and care plans.
• Orders labs and procedures as needed.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic neonatal procedures.
• Oversees temperature stabilization, nutrition, phototherapy.
• Participates in daily NICU rounds.
• Rotating shifts required.
