Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the expanding NICU in Wilmington, Delaware. The unit will grow to 46 beds in 2026 with 14 new inpatient rooms, offering a robust platform for newborn care and advanced therapies.

Shifts are rotating and include holiday commitments. The role provides relocation assistance, a sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a growing program dedicated to high-level neonatal care.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years Neonatal NP experience preferred.
Current unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License in the relevant state
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification
Current American Heart Association BLS and NRP Certification

Responsibilities

Manages and provides care for neonatal patients with supervision by an attending neonatologist.
Receives distressed neonate in the Delivery Room and initiates appropriate intervention.
Performs complete newborn examination and gestational-age assessment.
Conducts parent interviews and gathers family history.
Collaborates with neonatologists on admissions and treatment plans.
Orders appropriate laboratory tests and procedures.
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for neonatal care.
Reviews and manages temperature, nutrition, and phototherapy care as part of neonatal care.
Participates in daily rounds in NICU.
Rotating shifts required.
