Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding Level IV NICU. This expanding unit will add 14 inpatient rooms and a total of 46 beds. Shifts are rotating and require holiday commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years Neonatal NP experience preferred.
• Current unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License to practice in the state(s) in which privileges are sought.
• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification via National Certification Center.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage neonatal intensive care patients with team collaboration under neonatology supervision.
• Receive distressed neonates in delivery and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Conduct newborn exams and assess gestational age.
• Conduct parent interviews and collect family history.
• Collaborate with neonatologists on history, findings, and treatments.
• Order laboratory tests and procedures as needed.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for neonatal care.
• Review care items such as temperature stabilization, nutrition, and phototherapy.
• Participate in daily rounds in NICU.
• Rotating shifts, including holidays.
