Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a full-time night-shift Respiratory Care Practitioner for the Mobile Medicine - Critical Care Ground Transports program. Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of respiratory care.
• Current RT license or temporary license as a registered petitioner.
• RRT required; BSRT preferred.
• BLS required.
• Three years clinical respiratory care experience in the ED/ICU required.
• Paramedic Certification required within 2 years of hire.
• Must acquire EMT-P and National Registry.
• Trauma Certification, ACLS, PALS, NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. required upon orientation.
• Advanced certification (ACCS) or equivalent as approved.
• Aviation training to meet flight crew requirements.
• Must have a valid driver's license and insurable status.

Responsibilities

• Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
• Uses clinical reasoning and skills to conduct accurate clinical assessments and patient care interventions.
• Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers.
• Plans and provides safe, effective, and financially responsible services.
• Participates in committees, shared governance, or other facility decision making activities.
• Transports and monitors patients requiring advanced devices and equipment.
• Operates airway support and ventilation equipment; manages patient airways.

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of respiratory care

Current RT license or temporary license as a registered petitioner

RRT required; BSRT preferred

BLS required

Three years clinical respiratory care experience in the ED/ICU

Paramedic Certification within 2 years of hire
