Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Associate's RRT or RRT Equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Advanced certifications per facility policy/standards.
• 2 years critical care experience preferred for certain roles.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and related equipment.
• Administers approved therapeutic procedures and evaluates outcomes.
• Initiates and monitors mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates therapies and makes recommendations for plans of care.
• Documents therapy and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Performs emergency respiratory care in critical situations.
• Maintains proficiency with electronic medical records integration.
