Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved two or four year program for respiratory care.
• Two years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Two years' clinical experience with critical care patients (neonatal/pediatric preferred).
• Active RRT license; BCLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS, ITLS certifications; NPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes teamwork through communication.
• Meets patient care standards to optimize outcomes.
• Maintains safety and support during transport for patients, crew and drivers.
• Delivers respiratory therapies per age-appropriate guidelines; performs point-of-care testing as assigned.
• Completes documentation for patient records and billing; ensures continuity of care.
• Provides educational support to allied health practitioners.
• Ensures age-appropriate care per Age-Specific Guidelines; participates in required trainings.
