The RN will maintain accurate documentation and may float to other units as needed. Requirements include a Board of Nursing approved program completion, active RN license, BLS, and typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing program.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• RN license with privileges to practice in the relevant state(s).

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care while engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Communicates effectively and supports team collaboration and delegation.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
