Job summary

SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct care in the NICU.

This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) includes rotating weekends and holidays, with a focus on life-threatening, medically complex patients and collaborative, multidisciplinary care. The role requires at least six months of RN experience, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and active BLS and ACLS/ENPC/NRP/PALS as applicable by state.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or equivalent licensing.
• Six months RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to NICU patients per hospital policies and protocols.
• Delivers skilled nursing interventions using advanced life support procedures as needed.
• Coordinates care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines for optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitors patient conditions, documents progress, and communicates updates to care team.
• Leads discharge planning discussions and ensures smooth transitions.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and professional practice standards.
