Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within the orientation period, and certification must be kept current while in this position.
• Successful completion of a nursing program at an accredited school of nursing.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care responsibilities as assigned by charge nurse and/or preceptor.
• Documents delivery of patient care and updates plan of care in patients’ medical records.
• Performs responsibilities related to safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
• Communicates information regarding patients and unit operations to RN, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, Director, and other shifts in a timely manner.
• Performs and documents secondary assessment on patients in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing.
