Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN seeks a compassionate Nursing Unlicensed professional to provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision. You will document care, ensure patient safety, and communicate with nurses and managers to support high-quality outcomes.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program and eligibility to test; BLS certification must be obtained during orientation. Teamwork and adherence to hospital policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to perform nursing care and provide comfort to patients and families.
• Basic computer skills preferred for entering data and accessing records.
• Knowledge and skills as normally acquired through completion of a nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care responsibilities as assigned by charge nurse and/or preceptor.
• Documents delivery of patient care and updates the plan of care in the medical record.
• Ensures patient safety and compliance with care standards.
• Communicates information regarding patients and unit operations to RN, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and other shifts in a timely manner.
• Performs and documents secondary assessment on patients in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing as required.
