Qualifications

• Unofficial transcript from an accredited school of nursing required to begin orientation.

• BLS certification must be obtained within the orientation period and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care as assigned by the charge nurse/preceptor.
• Documents delivery of patient care and updates plan of care in the medical record.
• Performs and documents safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
• Communicates patient and unit information to RN, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and other shifts.
• Performs secondary assessments on patients in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing.
