Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN seeks an unlicensed nursing professional to provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision. You will document care, update plans of care, and communicate with the care team across shifts.

Successful completion of a nursing program and an active BLS certificate within orientation are required. You will work with Med/Surg and related units, with on-call expectations and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Unofficial transcript from an accredited school of nursing required to begin orientation.
• Completion of an accredited (ASN, BSN) school of nursing as evidenced by an official transcript OR diploma AND authorization to test (ATT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within the orientation period, and certification must be kept current while in this position.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care responsibilities as assigned by charge nurse and/or preceptor.
• Documents delivery of patient care and updates plan of care as necessary.
• Communicates patient information to RN, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and other shifts.
• Performs secondary assessment on patients in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing as needed.
