Qualifications

• Unofficial transcript from an accredited school of nursing required to begin orientation.
• Completion of an accredited (ASN, BSN) school of nursing as evidenced by an official transcript OR diploma AND authorization to test (ATT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within the orientation period, and certification must be kept current while in this position.
• Successful completion of a nursing program at an accredited school of nursing.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care as assigned by charge nurse/preceptor.
• Document delivery of patient care in the medical record and update the plan of care as necessary.
• Ensure safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
• Communicate patient and unit information to RN, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, Director, and other shifts promptly.
• Perform secondary assessment on patients in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing as directed.
