Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare is seeking an unlicensed nursing professional in Jackson, TN, to provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision. You will document care, communicate with the team, and participate in safety and quality activities across units such as Med/Surg and Post-Acute.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program (ASN/BSN), unofficial transcripts to start orientation, and BLS certification within orientation.

Qualifications

• Evidence of successful completion of a nursing program from an accredited school.
• Unofficial transcript required to begin orientation; ASN or BSN indicated.
• BLS certification must be obtained within orientation and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care as assigned by charge nurse/preceptor.
• Ensures patient safety and documents care in medical records.
• Communicates patient information to licensed personnel and other shifts.
• Participates in safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
• Performs secondary assessment on patients in Med/Surg, PCCU, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing as needed.
