Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group seeks an experienced per diem neonatal hospitalist to cover shifts at Golisano Children’s Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida. The role focuses on Level II NICU patients within a 70-bed NICU setting that provides 24-hour NNP coverage and a team of neonatologists and NNPs, with a commitment to family-centered, developmental care.

Board-certified in Pediatrics with recent neonatal experience and an active Florida license or IMLC eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide per diem neonatal hospitalist coverage at Golisano Children's Hospital in Ft Myers, FL
• Manage Level II NICU patients (not responsible for attending high-risk deliveries)
• Coordinate with a team of 10 neonatologists and 10 NNPs
• Support 24-hour NNP coverage
• Contribute to a family-centered, developmentally sensitive care model
• Utilize state-of-the-art NICU resources

Per Diem Neonatal Hospitalist position in Fort Myers, FL!

Responsibilities

Pediatrix® Medical Group seeks an experienced, Board Certified (in Pediatrics with recent Neonatal experience) to provide per diem coverage at Golisano Children's Hospital in Ft Myers, Florida. The hospital's NICU offers:

• State-of-the-art facility with a 70-bed, Level-III NICU
• The health system has two facilities and 7000 deliveries per year
• Cape Coral Hospital provides a Level-I low-risk delivery service
• Primary responsibilities include managing Level II NICU patients (not responsible for attending high risk deleiveries)
• All subspecialty services available (except cardiovascular surgery and ECMO) and high-risk delivery service coverage
• 24-hour NNP coverage
• Team of 10 neonatologists and 10 NNPs
• We value a team-approach toward care, in a developmentally sensitive and family-centered unit

• Shifts are 6-8 shours (varies regarding daily census and case complexity)

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Pediatrics with recent Neonatal experience required
