Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings and to educate parents about the importance of early intervention. The role requires on-site work at hospital locations with on-the-job training and certification through the American Academy of Audiology.

The technician will collect data, perform screens, ensure proper documentation, and coordinate follow-up for refer babies while adhering to safety and compliance protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain on offer
• Weekend and national holiday work flexibility required

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings
• Educate parents on the importance of screening and early intervention
• Complete data collection and documentation for each baby
• Schedule outpatient follow-up for refer babies when needed
