Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in the hospital after birth. On-site at HealthPark Medical Center and other locations, you will receive on-the-job training and pursue American Academy of Audiology certification.

You will educate families, ensure accurate data collection, and complete reporting at the end of each shift. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required; capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and stand most of the shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and ensure screen readiness.
• Educate parents on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Collect data and complete documentation for each screen per protocol.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and coordinate outpatient follow-up.
