Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking a position in the Infant Formula Room to expertly prepare formulas and human milk for NICU patients. You will manage compounding processes, document orders, and ensure aseptic technique to minimize contamination risks.

Responsibilities include inventory management, sanitation, quality assurance, and potential training of staff in preparation techniques, adhering to Joint Commission and health regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of related work experience; prior formula room experience preferred.
• DTR certification preferred (not mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Prepare infant formulas and human milk in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit following procedures and quality standards.
• Label, store, and log feedings using the electronic medical record system and barcoding.
• Maintain inventory of formulas, donor milk, and supplies; rotate stock and check expiration dates.
• Sanitize work surfaces and equipment; adhere to infection control policies.
• Train other staff in formula and human milk preparation and handling techniques.
