Job summary

The Nemours Foundation is seeking a Manager, Formula/Milk Technician (Full-Time) to lead the formula/milk room for Nemours Children’s Health in Wilmington, DE. The role oversees preparation, delivery, inventory and staff, ensuring safe and compliant nutrition services for pediatric and neonatal patients.

Responsibilities include supervising technicians, maintaining sanitation, coordinating production, budget oversight, and adherence to HIPAA and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics required.
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential preferred.
• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) in Delaware when applicable.
• IBCLC with managerial/supervisory experience in human milk management.
• Other licensed or certified healthcare professionals with relevant clinical background.
• Minimum one year of experience required.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
• Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in pediatric, neonatal, maternal-child health, nutrition services, or milk/formula room operations preferred.
• Nutrition education or infant nutrition knowledge preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversight of preparation and delivery of human milk, donor milk and formula, ensuring safety and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate production schedule based on staffing and workload projections.
• Supervise milk room technicians; ensure accuracy, technique and productivity.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sanitation in the formula/milk room.
• Inventory and manage stock; track purchases and reimbursements.
• Ensure HIPAA, safety regulations, HACCP compliance and infection control.
• Participate in hiring and training of milk/formula staff; develop competencies.
• Help manage departmental budget and strategic planning with leadership.
