Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Manager, Formula/Milk Technician in Wilmington, DE to lead the preparation, distribution, and quality assurance of all patient formula and human milk. You will oversee the formula/milk room, manage staff, and ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and nutrition guidelines.

The role collaborates with the Director, Clinical Nutrition Services to drive department budgets, processes, and strategic goals, while maintaining HIPAA and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics required.
• RD/RDN credential through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred; LDN in Delaware when applicable.
• IBCLC with managerial/supervisory experience and expertise in human milk and formula management; or other licensed healthcare professional with leadership.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and delivery of human milk, donor milk, and formula; ensure safe, cost-effective nutrition support.
• Coordinate production schedule based on staffing and workloads.
• Supervise milk/formula room technicians; ensure accuracy, technique, and productivity.
• Follow Academy guidelines for formula preparation and infant nutrition.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sanitation in the formula/milk room.
• Oversee inventory, stock levels, and supplier communications; manage budget and billing for donor milk.
