Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Neonatal Nutrition Technician to manage the receipt, labeling, and preparation of human milk and donor milk. You will verify orders, assist in formula preparation, and ensure strict aseptic technique in a high-stakes NICU setting.

Responsibilities include inventory management, communication with dietitians and nursing staff, and adherence to safety policies and patient identification procedures. A strong attention to accuracy and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Infant Feeding Technician Certificate preferred.
• Dietetic Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage receiving and labeling of mother's milk and donor milk per procedure.
• Perform patient identification during milk collection and preparation.
• Perform barcode scanning of human milk containers using feeding system.
• Prepare individualized human milk feeding for one patient at a time.
• Follow recipes for formulas and proper handling, storage, and delivery.
• Verify orders with RD or provider and communicate needs.
• Stock nutrition room and manage inventory.
• Maintain aseptic technique and PPE compliance.
• Communicate with dietitians, nurses, and managers about orders and storage.
