Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an experienced Nursing Education Specialist to develop and lead educational programs for nursing and ancillary staff. The role collaborates with clinical leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate programs that advance clinical practice and patient outcomes across the GBMC system.

The candidate will hold a BSN with a commitment to pursue an MSN within five years, and bring four years of nursing experience with two years in education-related activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
Commitment to obtain a Master’s degree within 5 years.

Responsibilities

Develops and conducts learning needs assessment annually, documents gaps, and collects data from multiple sources to inform educational planning.
Uses adult learning concepts and instructional design to plan activities and address learning needs.
Implements learning plans and adjusts materials to learner needs and culture.
Facilitates education to meet professional development needs and promotes evidence-based practice.
Participates in orientation, preceptor programs, and quality improvement initiatives to improve adherence to protocols.
