Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) seeks an expert nursing practitioner to act as a consultant, educator, and organizational resource for evidence-based practice. This role supports field staff and nursing leaders in resolving complex RN clinical issues and advances education across the organization.

BSN preferred with at least two years as an RN in relevant areas and supervisory experience. CHPN preferred, licensed in Maryland, and able to lead education initiatives and customize clinical

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• At least two years of RN experience in relevant clinical area.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Teaches and coaches nurses and hospice aides in best practices for patient and family care.
• Serves as a best-practice specialist for seriously ill, palliative, geriatric and hospice patients.
• Maintains clinical reference tools and standard works for nursing staff.
• Collaborates with clinical leaders on regulations, accreditation standards, policies and procedures.
• Gains extensive knowledge to guide wound and specialized patient care.
• Leads and supports annual nurse education and competency initiatives.
