Job summary

The Werner Lab at the University of Utah is recruiting a Laboratory Technician with experience in nematode handling and maintenance. Ideal candidates will have micro-injection, CRISPR, and familiarity with chromatin immunoprecipitation and ATAC-seq, plus strong foundations in molecular biology and epigenetics.

Responsibilities include performing tests and analyses, preparing samples, following SOPs/GLPs, and assisting senior staff while maintaining equipment and workspace to GLP standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with nematodes and lab-based genetic manipulation.
• Familiarity with CRISPR and genome editing workflows.
• Background in molecular biology and epigenetics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses under supervision.
• Prepare and weigh samples for testing.
