Qualifications

  • Six years of experience in the administration of a municipal code enforcement program.
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, urban planning or a related field.
  • Valid California Class C driver's license.
  • Knowledge of California housing maintenance laws, neighborhood improvement and revitalization.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the City's code enforcement, neighborhood revitalization, environmental services, customer service, licensing, and community outreach and education programs.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs Neighborhood Services programs.
  • Maintains records and prepares statistical reports on program activities and financial expenditures.
  • Trains and supervises employees; evaluates performance and recommends actions.
  • Oversees licensing operations and coordinates with other functions in the Department.
