Job summary

The Town of Lyons seeks a collaborative Neighborhood Services Coordinator to maintain safe, resilient neighborhoods through code compliance, outreach, and resilience initiatives. This role involves education, case management, and coordination of community programs with residents, HOAs, and partners.

You will assist in educating the public on codes, connect residents to resources, and support wildfire mitigation efforts, with some evenings or weekend commitments as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience in code compliance, planning, building, community outreach, neighborhood services, wildfire mitigation, public administration, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret and explain codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Proficiency with standard office software and electronic recordkeeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and resolves neighborhood issues with residents and partners.
• Educates residents, businesses, property owners, and contractors on Town codes and procedures.
• Coordinates wildfire mitigation, defensible-space education, and resilience initiatives.
• Manages case files, citations, and enforcement documentation.
• Engages with community groups and coordinates training and outreach activities.
• Occasional evenings or weekend meetings and inspections as required.
