Job summary

Verigent is seeking an experienced NEC Voice Systems Technician to deliver day-to-day operational support for an enterprise telecom environment in Brockton, MA. You will perform MACs, troubleshoot voice systems, and coordinate with IT and end users to ensure reliable service.

The role requires hands-on experience administering NEC telephony systems, strong customer service skills, and meticulous documentation of changes and incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience administering NEC voice systems in a production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for VoIP and telephony issues.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support for NEC voice systems, troubleshooting hardware, software, and telephony issues.
• Perform break/fix activities to restore voice services and minimize downtime.
• Complete Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) for users, extensions, devices, and system configurations.
• Administer and support NEC SV9500, UM8700, and MA4000 platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve voice, voicemail, and endpoint connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams and end users to resolve service requests promptly.
• Maintain documentation of system changes, incidents, and activities.
• Follow established change management and operational procedures.
• Participate in system testing and validation after changes or upgrades.
