Job summary

T-Mobile is seeking a Field Technician to support Central and Western Nebraska. The role covers radio access networks, backhaul, signaling, data services and location-based services across a broad territory including Kearney, Grand Island, Columbus and Scotts Bluff.

You will balance technical tasks with project work and continuous process improvements. Candidates should have 2–4 years in field operations or wireless telecom, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and be prepared for day and night

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required).
• 2-4 years - Working experience in Field Operations and maintenance.
• 2-4 years - Wireless telecommunications or other related experience.
• Electronics knowledge is required.
• Radio Access Network (RAN) knowledge and practical experience is required.
• Wireless Backhaul understanding including microwave and fiber solutions (Required).
• 5G NR experience or ability to learn is required.
• Base Station knowledge required.
• Continuous development through training and certifications is expected.
• Disaster Recovery planning familiarity and ability to execute contingency plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to resolve network performance issues and contribute to outage resolution efforts.
• Manage smaller projects or project segments, delivering accurate status and progress updates as required.
• Identify and recommend process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities to senior staff and management.
• Assist in developing job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documentation with senior technicians.
• Complete required training to maintain current knowledge of systems, products, and standards.
• Develop yourself through continuous learning to grow skills and align with organizational values.
• Carry out other duties/projects as assigned by management.
