Job summary

FMI Composites in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an experienced NDT Responsible Level III to lead our radiographic and ultrasonic testing program for composite materials. This salary-exempt role develops inspection techniques, interprets results, trains staff, and ensures compliance with NAS-410, radiation safety, and customer specifications.

You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize inspection processes, maintain records, and provide technical oversight.

Qualifications

ASNT or NAS-410 Level 3 in Radiography Testing (RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) with composites experience.
Documented training and experience in digital radiographic inspection and ultrasonic inspection to support certification at FMI.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and radiation protection standards.
Establish and maintain NDT capabilities in compliance with NAS 410 and customer requirements.
Train and qualify NDT personnel and provide ongoing technical oversight; perform/interpret complex inspections (DR/UT) as needed.
Develop and document NDT techniques in accordance with program requirements.
Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize inspection processes and improve product quality.
