Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking an experienced NDT Level III specializing in Radiographic Testing (RT) and Computed Radiography (CR) to lead radiographic inspection practices for aerospace components and assemblies.

You will develop and approve inspection techniques, mentor NDT personnel, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while coordinating with customers and internal teams on complex inspection challenges.

Qualifications

• ASNT Level III certification and/or NAS 410 Level III in Radiographic Testing.
• 5 to 8+ years of aerospace NDT experience, including at least 2 years at Level III.
• Strong experience with film and digital radiography (CR, DDA).
• Experience supporting Nadcap NDT accreditation and aerospace OEM audits (e.g., Boeing, Rolls-Royce, GE, Pratt & Whitney).
• Knowledge of NAS 410, ASTM E1742, E1032, SAE, AS9100 and customer radiography requirements.
• Understanding of digital image processing, IQIs, and radiographic density/sensitivity requirements.
• Ability to provide strategic technical oversight and hands-on inspection support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Level III SME for film and digital radiographic inspection (CR and DDA).
• Develop, qualify, review, and approve radiographic procedures and work instructions per NAS 410 and customer specs.
• Interpret codes, standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Review and approve radiographic results and technical interpretations.
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and oversight to Level I/II personnel.
• Develop training plans, examinations, and qualification requirements for NDT staff.
• Certify and recertify qualified personnel per requirements.
• Evaluate new radiographic techniques, equipment, software, and technologies for compliance.
• Support audits as Radiography Level III authority.
• Review contract and technical documents to ensure customer requirements are in the quality system.
• Support corrective actions related to audits and NCRs.
• Review equipment calibration requirements and certification records.
• Interface with customers to provide technical guidance.
